Standardised botanical extract powder for supplement manufacture

Who we supply — 01

For supplement brands

You are building a label, not a warehouse. What you need from an ingredient supplier is a specification that holds, a certificate that survives scrutiny, and a minimum order that lets you launch one SKU without buying a year of stock. We supply the ingredient, the certificate and the confidence that lets you make your promise on the pack.

The problem

Most brands buy through three people they never meet.

The typical route for a UK supplement brand is a domestic distributor, who bought from an importer, who bought from a trading house at origin. Each link takes a margin, and more importantly each link degrades the information. By the time a Certificate of Analysis reaches you it may be a copy of a copy, sometimes for a batch that is not the one in your drum. When a specification drifts, nobody in the chain has a direct line to the person who made the material.

We are the importer. We supply from our own production facilities and direct sourcing in India, the material is tested before it ships, and the certificate you receive belongs to the lot in your drum. If something is wrong, you are talking to the company that bought it rather than to the third party who resold it.

How it works

From enquiry to delivered drum.

There are five steps and none of them involve you chasing anybody.

1. You tell us the specification, not the product name

"Ashwagandha" is not a specification. Withanolide percentage, assay method, plant part and extraction medium are. If you are not sure, send us the certificate from whoever you buy from now — supplier name redacted if you prefer — and we will tell you plainly whether we can match it, better it, or not touch it.

2. We send the certificate for the actual batch

Not a generic certificate from a marketing cupboard. The Certificate of Analysis you receive belongs to the lot we are quoting, with the assay method named beside every figure, so your QA team can check it before a purchase order exists.

3. You get a delivered price, all in

Quoted delivered duty paid to your address in sterling. Not FOB Mumbai plus a shrug about freight, duty and clearance. If you would rather run your own leg, we will quote ex-warehouse too, but you will get both numbers rather than one and a vague promise.

4. The goods ship with the documentation set

Certificate of Analysis for the batch, heavy metals and microbiology, pesticide residue screen, packing list, commercial invoice, certificate of origin. Allergen, GMO, vegan, halal and BSE/TSE statements on request. We would rather over-document than have your notified body come back with a question we cannot answer.

5. We keep a reference portion of every lot

If a question arises in month eight about the batch you bought in month two, there is material and paperwork to go back to. This matters more than it sounds like it does.

Small enough to start

Twenty-five kilograms per specification, and a mixed consignment across two or three actives on a first order. You can qualify a formulation without buying a year of stock.

Claims are your call

We supply ingredients and specifications. We do not write your marketing claims, and we will tell you when a specification will not support the claim you are planning — before you print the label, not after.

One point of contact

You deal with the company that imported the material. There is no distributor relaying a question to an importer who is waiting on a trading house.

Your formulator doses to the number on the certificate. We make sure the number is real, measured by the right method, and belongs to the drum in front of you.

How an order runs

From your specification to your loading bay.

Six steps, most of them ours. You send a specification; we come back with a certificate and a delivered price, and the goods arrive tested, cleared and documented.

Day 0Send the specification

The active, the percentage, the form and the volume. Or the certificate you buy against today, supplier name redacted.

Within 24 hoursCertificate and price

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Can you supply small quantities for R&D?

Yes. Five-kilogram foil pouches for pilot batches and stability work. We would rather support a formulation through development and win the production volume later than refuse the small order and lose both.

Will you sign a supplier questionnaire or quality agreement?

Yes. Send us your supplier approval questionnaire and we will complete it properly. If you need a formal quality or supply agreement in place before a first order, that is a normal request and we will work through it.

Do you offer white-label or finished-product manufacture?

No. We supply ingredients. We are not a contract manufacturer and we will not pretend otherwise — but we work alongside several, and we are happy to be the ingredient supplier on your CM's approved list.

What if a batch does not meet specification?

Then it is our problem, not yours. Because we import the material ourselves rather than reselling somebody else's, there is nobody for us to point at. Tell us and we will resolve it.

How do you price against a distributor?

There is one margin in the chain instead of three, and no domestic warehousing cost baked into every kilogram. Where a distributor genuinely wins is next-day supply of a small top-up quantity; if that is what you need on a given week, they are the right call and we will say so.

Next step

Send us the specification.

Tell us the active, the assay and the volume. You will have a delivered price and the certificate for the real batch.
